the light we need

Thanks to dynamic light control, lixtec always provides standard-compliant lighting when it is needed. If a street is empty, the light is dimmed down to a lower level. As soon as moving people or vehicles are detected, the light is dimmed up.

With lixtecs’ radar-based sensor solutions, any modern LED street light can be transformed into a dynamic street light. lixtecs’ solutions offer energy savings without loss of comfort, provide a significant reduction in light pollution and CO₂ emissions, and therefore contribute to achieving climate targets.

The reduction of light pollution can have a positive effect on people’s well-being and health – Flora and fauna also benefit, leading to increased biodiversity in the area.


The subjective feeling of safety can be increased by innovative detection and communication systems (compared to autonomously switching luminaires with motion detectors) because the area in the direction of movement of the person is already illuminated before they enter or drive through it.


The product can lead to long-term cost savings for operators of public lighting systems, due to large reductions in energy use (60-80%).


With the advancing technological development in the field of lighting control, dynamic street lighting can play a significant role in achieving smart city goals. Other aspects of innovation in a city (such as promotion of creativity, fostering education etc.) are not covered, however, as this is not the focus of the product.


The product can contribute to a large reduction in energy demand, therefore helping to achieve our climate goals. Furthermore, light pollution is reduced, positively affecting humans and wildlife alike.
